Rozier for Poeltl is the trade I keep coming back to.
Oh, that is a good idea. I like that.

If that happens, I hope they ask for the Toronto top-20 protected 1st too... Poeltl looks like he's buried in Pop's rotation and only plays in blowouts, that is unless Gay misses time like he has for the past week... Gasol only averages minutes in the teens... Poeltl played 12 minutes with both Gay and Gasol out on 11/7...

show me the last team to win a title with a "dominant' big man.....
answer, you have to go back to the 2014 Spurs and an old Tim Duncan , before that you pretty much have to go back to the 2010 Pau Gasol Lakers

....and so I am not too worry about our bigs production as I am with our lack offense ingenuity.

My theory is everybody is just copycatting the Warriors and the Rockets, with the obsession with the 3. And moving big men out to the perimeter to pick and roll. The result is a lot of guys are shooting the 3 who shouldn't be, and efficiency has dropped off.

It reminds me of what has happened in MLB, where relievers are now starters and starters relievers--or something like that. Topsy turvy.

Stevens is committed to the 3. That isn't going to change. What could change everything is if they extend the 3P line out. That might reduce the 3P shooters to the best ones, bring the big men back closer to the basket and increase ball distribution for better shots.

The 3P shot was started in the old ABA to do something different from the NBA. They also had red white and blue basketballs. A lot of this stuff is about TV, which views sports as entertainment. There are too many bad shooters bombing away, and it's time to push that 3P line out further.

For the purpose of this discussion. Only 1 asset is untouchable. Tatum. Every player and all picks are on the table.

Let's stay away from Anthony Davis trades too.

Instead of bashing posters propasls, let's discuss what needs to be added to accomplish a trade.

First proposal is Hayward and Yabu plus a draft pick. I was thinking Memphis but again chime in what's is in your opinion fair trade value.

For Mirotic currently avg 20.6 ppg 11.7 rpg expiring contract. and Randle 2 years left. Avg 17 ppg 7 RPG. And salary filler Wes Johnson.

Would the Pelicans need Rozier to make it work?

Does this make the Celtics better. I believe so.

I really think they have to trade Hayward. He just doesn't fit on this team now. They are about youth and athleticism. Poor Gordon is struggling just to get back to his Utah form. Ainge has built a terrific team, but somehow it has passed Hayward by.

Trading Rozier would be a mistake. Irving needs a solid backup, and Rozier should be in the rotation.

I would trade anybody on the roster for Anthony Davis. I'm as big a Brown and Tatum fan as there is, I love home grown talent. But I would trade either for Davis. My point is i don't consider anybody untouchable.

We don't need a big trade for star.  We need trade either brown, hayward, or tatum and I keep saying it should be brown.  He's not a future star so I would trade for a specialist that doesn't need the ball to be effective.

I know this trade isn’t realistic, but neither is Hayward, Yabu & a pick for Mirotic. I’ve always been a big fan of Drummond, so seeing him average 19/16 (insane numbers) makes me happy. He’s also got a long history of liking us. He’s also shown the ability to pass (before Blake and Casey arrived), so CBS would like him.

Again, not saying it’s realistic, but it would be fun and IMO make us way more balanced this season. The long term implications wouldn’t be good though, as Ish and Bullock are both FA’s

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I don't know what I would want to give up for him, but I want DeWayne Dedmon.

Maybe a three team deal where one team gets Terry Rozier, we get an asset in return and then flip that for Dedmon?

I really wanted to use the Sac pick, one of the Memphis or Clippers picks, and Rozier to move up to draft Wendell Carter.  Now he's playing great and the Sac pick is losing value.  In his last 5 games in 30 mpg, he's averaging 15.6 points, 10.6 rebs, 2.8 assists, 2.6 blocks, and 1.4 steals.  He's made 4 of 7 3 pointers and 18 of 20 free throws.  I would still offer that package for him now, but can't see Chicago going for it.  Maybe they wouldn't have at the time of the draft either.

I would not give up either Brown or Horford for Drummond, let alone both.

Why? He's 25, is better than Al by a considerable margin and is likely better than Brown ever will be

Like when he flopped like a drama queen to get him ejected?
