I didn’t care about the game against the Bucks - we were sitting KP and Al and you could tell we were just not in the mood.

But we are getting absolutely cooked in this one with our full line-up. I get that it doesn’t matter, but it’s not a good look. This team is starting to look a little arrogant - hopefully they can turn it back on when the playoffs start

We are getting hammered on the boards - maybe put a physical rebounder in the game, Joe ? Like an adjustment ?

I understand that the Cs are keeping their cards close to their chests, with NY being a potential playoff opponent. The effort is obviously not there, specially on the defensive end. The guys aren’t bouncing around as they usually do. I just feel bad for the fans who turned up to watch the game. At least show some effort i guess?

It's funny how we are though - before the game we're all like "this game doesn't matter, stay healthy, be ready for the playoffs" but then when we're getting blown out and humiliated on national TV then the game starts mattering all of a sudden  :police:

At least if they put the bench in we have an excuse for getting thrashed

You can lose, JUST DONT EMBARRASS US!!!!!  >:( >:( >:(

so sit the starters in the 2nd half?
serious question

If they're going to play with half effort the rest of the game, then yes. Just sit them.

I would. They got their chance and their time, let’s get the bench some run, give them a chance to showcase their wares for next season and we as fans will feel better too

No. I want the starters to clean it up.
And practice..practice..
Joe wants some practice.

Remember the '73 Celtics (68 wins) or the '86 Celtics (dominant all season) ?
Those two great teams did not pull this stunt the last two weeks of the season.
These guys haven't won anything yet and act like they have.

I'm trying to think off the top of my head what coach besides Mazzulla would be playing their top players in a game like this. Not one comes up

I get the idea of not giving the Knicks and the Bucks and others any film to work with, and yes they earned the right to do what they want by putting in the hard work earlier in the season, but yes it’s sucks to pay tickets for a game like this…I thought of doing so but I had a feeling these last few games are going to be like this. If it’s frustrating following along on the game threads just imagine paying a couple hundred for a ticket to watch this level of effort  :-\

I will say though, since last week I haven’t been that invested in these last few games, at least from a win loss point of view…I’m more interested in seeing how they respond to certain situations, like in this case being down 20 pts. Will they wave the white flag or try to make a comeback? I’m curious what they will do, win or lose

Pointless to play your guys when they have no desire to be out there.

Get these next 2 games over with. Let the fans play.

I mean, it's a national tv game, so they couldn't just rest everyone per the rules. That's the biggest issue.

But still. If you're going to be out there, just play hard. This is just an embarrassing effort.

Not embarrassing to me. The regular season ended at 60 wins, it's good to catch up on some podcasts.

I know the C's aren't trying, but I bet other (great) teams are licking their chops waiting to face Boston. They think they can win in Boston and take the Celtics in 7 games.

I just hope the C's don't come into the playoffs unmotivated, or that'll really give them a point to lick chops.

17 second chance points on 12 offensive rebounds in a half just sums it up - poor effort and focus.
