Still have no idea why our first ATO was so early in the clock, ugh. Would almost prefer a shot clock violation than an Oladipo fast break

And when Tatum is 5-11 and generally having a "meh" game with Morris at 9-13 and having his best game of the season, why were we going with Tatum there on that questionable pass and play call?

Yeah, not a good play drawn up by Stevens. Awful pass by Hawyard and like you mentioned, they should've just passed the ball to Morris for the 3 with how well he's been shooting. Poor execution and poor play calling. This one hurts and Indiana is going to be a threat to the Celts winning the East.

I didn't feel like we deserved that game anyway.  Lots of poor play and poor stretches.

They make it too hard on themselves.  They played good d and knocked down a good percentage of their many threes.  They need to learn to get easier buckets.  They have the talent.

Too hard on themselves by not being more aggressive and driving to the bucket.  And missing too many wide open 3's.  And the long stretch of the late 2nd to much of the 3rd quarter of just bad play.  Didn't deserve it.

Hayward can be excused for poor shooting night.

But no excuse for that pass.

 Lazy, sloppy and costly.

Laughable loss...the game was won and you give it away with poor execution...why bring hayward in to throw the last inbounds pass? Dumb. Also embarassed for the pacers franchise celebrating that win like it was a game 7
Hayward is one of the best passers on the team. He threw a bad one - it happens

Marcus Smart hoisting brick after brick loses these types of games.

He had more assists than shots taken and was a plus 12 for the game.  The loss is not on him.

Not a fan of plus minus. I don't deny that at times they play better with smart one the floor,  but when hes throwing up shots that have no chance it hurts.

Agreed, but why even bring him in to make that pass? Leave him on the bench where he was

Should have just given Kyrie the ball to dribble out the clock before taking a last second shot.

Because he's probably our best passer, lol.

It didn't work this time.  It happens.

Is it crazy to think that the East is the better conference this year? I really don't think it is, at least in the top half of the bracket. The top five in the East - Boston, Toronto, Philly, Milwaukee, and Indy - is quite a bit better than who will end up being the top five in the West - GS, Houston, Utah, Nuggets, Thunder. At least that's what I'm seeing thus far.

Great first quarter followed by lots of crap. Cs, as usual, barely got to the line, and didn't shoot particularly well on 2s. Indy didn't even shoot well and the Cs still found a way to lose this game. At this rate, Boston might struggle to finish in the top 3 in the East.

I agree. That key possession with less than 5 minutes when Smart throws up a brick was inexcusable. The Celts really need to cut back on their 3 point attempts. Or at the very least, not let guys who aren't known for making 3 pointers attempt them.

Agree.  3's are worth more than 2's, but you can't just look at field goal percentages.  You need to factor in the additional free throws earned when taking the ball to the hoop.

Yeah...hes not our best passer and spent the entire 4th on the bench...why bother bringing him in for that situation
.to try and get his confidence up? Fail
