Monroe type is getting closer to extinction

But Im surprised by the lack of interest in Larkin. For his height also a very good rebounder

Anybody know why Celts didnt bring him back?

Larkin didn’t return because of the CBA.  If the Celtics sign him to a minimum deal, there are two options:

1) A 1-year deal at the 2-year vet minimum that gave him a no-trade clause

2) A multi year deal at the 4-year vet minimum.

So either they couldn’t trade him if they needed to, or they could but he’d cost more against he luxury tax, which they’re going to be right up against.

Does 1 and 2 apply if he signs for another team?
Also this rules may hurt Larkin in the end , I am guessing that was not the propose of those restrictions.

Really? Why? I think I saw one game where he was fairly effective passing the ball. Other than that he seemed extremely slow, inefficient and terrible defense. I expected much better and have moved on.

I was so excited for the Monroe signing. That should have worked out perfectly. With Baynes Horford Theis and Williams now in the fold at Center I’m not giving any money to Monroe.
