The fact that Kanter is younger is irrelevant short term

If Kanter leaves this off-season is Baynes someone the Celtics should be looking at with the MLE?

I think if Kanter leaves he will be replaced internally.

I would say yes, but the team might be cap conscious about spending the MLE.

Aron Baynes beasted it vs the Blazers, 37 pts and 16 rebs including NINE threes.

He'd look good playing for us right about now, wouldn't he

Dang!

Baynes would be so perfect on this team.

So, assume the money is the same: Baynes or Kanter?

That's a very easy question to answer.

One guy is a legit starting center and one of the best rim protectors in the league, while the other guy is only suitable as a back-up rebounding specialist because he's a nightmare on defense.

I miss Baynes more than I miss Horford.

I think money is the only thing holding us back from signing Baynes this offseason. We know he loves it here, his coach, his teammates.

Main concern with Baynes is injuries. Or maybe that's just a Boston thing not necessarily a Baynes thing?
