He is a starting Power Forward on one of the better East teams, there is no reason he should score and not rebound or visa versa... He needs to both in order to a) keep his job and b) allow the team to be as successful as they can be.

Bass' play this year is a mystery and consistently infuriating to me.

3 rebounds in 40 minutes in Utah... ughh.  He doesn't have one time he cracked 10 boards in that list of games.

Pearljammer is right, he should be doing both.  I feel like he has gotten worse.  Maybe just getting paid, I'm not sure.

Does Points Win Than Rebounds Or The Other Way Around

Looking at his game log, his rebounding when he scores 10 or more points in game isn't all that different when he scores only a few points. A quick scatter plot certainly doesn't show any sort of inverse relationship.

And he's rebounding at almost an identical rate to last year, he's mostly decline by shooting less and shooting less accurately.

I hadn't looked up the stats, confirms what I have been feeling.  It seems like he passes up open shots and takes harder ones.  Last year it seemed like he was not trigger shy and he would take any open shots.

Doesn't it seem like he can't even handle a pass this year?  When Rondo was still playing he would drop everything.

His individual defense seems worse.  And his rotations have never been good really (though he has pulled out some nice blocks this year).

Id like bass alot more if he wasn't our starting PF. He should not be a starter on a championship team.........Then again, we aren't a championship team so, carry on as you were.
