In some positive news, the Bruins extended their win streak to four today, and are in sole possession of the lead in the Northeast Division ... the bad news is Lucic went out with a knee injury, and the extent is not known.

From the Boston Globe:

Bruins coach Claude Julien thinks that Tim Thomas (hand) might be able to play on Friday.

Thomas hasn't played between the pipes since November 14th due to a hand injury, but he has been practicing. The Bruins don't consider Thomas' injury to be serious, but a recent report suggested that Thomas' hand could be broken. We'll keep you posted.

thx bahku, tp for u.  lucic got hurt again tonight, this time his knee.  hopefully it isnt serious.  this team seriously lacked "toughness" when he was out.  thorton was the only consistent physical presence in lucic's absence.  at least savard is back.

im going to the ottawa game saturday

From Joe Haggerty, CSNNE.com:

But a more important number may be zero; as in, how many games Lucic will miss after injuring his knee Wednesday night in Minnesota. TSN reported the knee was merely twisted and the injury didn’t appear to be serious. The report also said Lucic might not even miss a game . . . which is something all Bruins fans can be thankful for on the always-appreciative Turkey Day.

I hope it's true ... enjoy the game Saturday ... should be a good one!

Chia held a presser today and said Licic had a high ankle sprain and would be out 4 weeks.  That's a lot better then a blown out knee but it still sucks.
