Latest in a long list of hints we've been hearing this season that Jaylen Brown isn't totally fitting in with this group.   Bummer.

I think many people that have played sports at any level have pushed a teammate at some point. I doubt there are lingering sentiments in a week, but who knows really...

In any case, I kinda liked watching that. Shows that they're frustrated losing. Shouldn't we be more concerned if they were smiling and high-fiving?

Also, kind of curious.... what are the other hints?

I got into a fistfight with a teammate once  we got it out of our system and it was all good after. Really comes down to context - is it a one off due to frustration because they were getting hammered by a sub .500 team or is it a symptom of a larger malaise that they have already had to address via team meetings? Remember Jaylen was the only one who said "I didn't take it personal" when asked about the team meeting.

Anyway it is what it is...managing egos and personalities is what Brad gets paid for, he needs to sort it out if there's an issue.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

“Robert gave us a huge lift,” Brad Stevens says of Robert Williams. “He was excellent ... He gave us a chance.”

Yet 0 minutes in the first half, even though both Al and Theis were awful.
So Stevens saw how bad the C's were inside in the first half, made an adjustment by putting in Williams, and the solution worked...but you are still critical that.....what?.....Stevens didn't notice sooner?

Uh, yes. We were down by 19 at half, Nick. An earlier substitution could've very well softened that lead heading into the halftime, especially with Al so bad tonight, which would've helped with the comeback effort.

It's not rocket science. It was clear from the get-go that Theis wasn't able to contain Whiteside, and quite frankly, this should've been expected by Brad even before he got in there, as that's Theis' M.O. against big guys like Whiteside. Williams has showed enough at this point to be the back-up to Al when Baynes is out on nights we play against bigger, more athletic bigs like Whiteside.

I guess Horford is the whipping boy now  ::) Some "fans" we have here.

Horford isn't 100%, and playing on a second night of a back-to-back. Teams and players do fall flat on these kind of games. This is why we blew out the Pacers by that much the other night.

We do tend to overreact both to wins and losses  ;D
I figured it would be Jaylen, Gordon and Al to collectively play the piñata role tonight. From heros to zeros in one night!

Agree 100%.  I have to admit I am a bit worried about Al's knee.  If he is struggling physically, then by all means hold him out of back to backs.  Al played really well in the beatdown against the Pacers last night.  He is really important to this team, if he needs to sit on back to backs until the playoffs please sit him.

I think AL is the most valuable player on this Celtics squad. He should not play any back to backs for the rest of the year.

The Game was within 5 with less than 3 minutes to go before the half and the lead went up to 18. A 13 point swing in the last 3 minutes of the half is  terrible. Brad needs to do something there. A high energy player like TIMELORD  might have changed the game there. Brad needs to find some energy off the bench that he can count on.

Im willing to bet that if he put Williams in and the lead ballooned guys will flame him for experimenting Koz I remember certain posters calling him out for trying out guys like Yabu at certain times last year.

Can't remember what timeout that was but that doesn't look good does it.

that is a horrible look ....not just the two that were sparring but the body language of Hayward and Kyrie was very bad and unengaged. Smart should be named captain of this team. And some players need to be shipped out.

Yeah I can’t tell whether Hayward is just very low-key or if he hates everyone

My one takeaway was, yes you can suck on any given night, to a worst team, after the best game you played all season, BUT there is no way in hell you don’t attempt a single FT in the first half, while shooting 30 something percent from the field.
what doesn't kill you makes you stronger

I think the main culprit is the bench. Kyrie and Morris are shooting well, the other guys +tatum are the ones who should adjust. Specifically Brown who was a ft magnet when he was a rookie.

I think Brad Stevens has been off the hook for too long. He needs a fair share of blame and criticism too.

I still won't forget that the Celtics were at one point down 0-2 in a playoff series as a 1 seed. That would've put him in the hot seat. It took an injured player from the opposing team for the Celtics to claw back and win the series.

Trade morris and terry.

Time has come to put a little fear into the team.
