When can John Wall be traded?  I could totally see the Thunder flipping Paul for Wall and another couple of 1st's.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

So the 2024 pick is protected 1-4. What happens if Houston ends up keeping that pick? Does it convert to a 2025 1st rounder? If it does, what happens to the 2025 pick swap? Does that disappear or get converted to a pick swap in another year? And what happens to the 2025 pick swap if Houston is in the bottom 20? Could it be that OKC never sees either Houston pick? If so that pick haul isn't as good as it appears.
Both picks are only top 4 protected.  It is mostly like that OKC will get both picks and very unlikely that they'd get neither pick.
I don't care about what is likely, I care about what the contingencies are if the protections do kick in. I also don't care what anyone thinks is likely, because I don't think anyone can declare what is likely to happen 5-7 years from now. Anything can happen and should be a part of the deal.

2024 pick is protected 1-4...what happens if the protection kicks in? Does OKC just not get the pick or does it roll over to another year.

2025 pick swap is protected 1-20. If the pick is the bottom 20 does OKC just lose that swap or does it roll over to another year? If the 2024 pick rolls to 2025 does this pick swap disappear?

2026 pick....see 2024 pick questions.

If Houston is a bottom feeding team between 2024-2026, none of these picks could convey, if there are no roll overs of picks if the protections kick in. That kinda makes the cache of picks possibly a lot less valuable than it appears.
Contingencies matter but not more than the most likely outcome.  With the new lottery odds even if Houston finishes with the worst record, OKC still has a 47.9% chance to end up with the 5th pick.

Assuming the details are true, the pick swap in 2025 seems to indicate the 2024 pick would convert to 2nd(s) if it didn't convey.  I think the same would be true of the 2026 pick because I don't think picks can be traded further out than 7 years including rollovers due to protection.

I bet OKC buys out CP3 and he joins LAL.

NBA Jam 2019 Offseason continues. Boomshakalaka!

LeBron - AD
Kawhi - PG
Westbrook - Harden
Kyrie - Durant
Steph - Klay
Lillard - McCollum
Doncic - Porzingis
Kemba - Hayward
Zion - Jrue
Simmons - Embiid
Giannis - Middleton
Conley - Gobert
Oladipo - Brogdon
Butler - Bam?
Towns - Wiggins

Lot of great duos out there now.
Butler - Bam?  Towns and Wiggins?  You're really stretching "great duo" beyond credibility.

Yeah might as well throw in Blake and D Rose if you're going that far.

I'd probably go Blake - Drummond

How about...
Gordon - Vucevic
Fox - Barnes
Barrett - Randle

You got to throw in the lesser teams that use against your little brother.

But the original point remains, today's NBA is deep in the 2 man game.
The first 5 duos are probably the top-10 players in the NBA:
LeBron - AD
Kawhi - PG
Westbrook - Harden
Kyrie - Durant
Steph - Klay

Though Kyrie may not belong, replace with Embiid.

Giannis the reigning MVP says 'can I play'?

As I said 2 pages back: Kyrie and Klay out, Embiid and Giannis in.

I’m a little worried that Paul and galinari end up with the sixers by the trade deadline

When can John Wall be traded?  I could totally see the Thunder flipping Paul for Wall and another couple of 1st's.
The problem with trading for Wall is that he has one more year on his contract.  OKC is trying to get off of money not just get picks.

I'd also have Jokic ahead of PG. PG's consistent failure as the #1 option in his recent playoffs has him lower in my book.

The only way that could happen would be trading Harris and/or Al which would be a very dumb move on the Sixers part.  If they get bought out CP3 almost certainly would end on the Lakers.

Wall's the worst contract in the league.  They'd have to give up picks to move it.

Forgot
Murray - Jokic(terrible oversight)
Beal - Wall when healthy
CP3 - Adams
Lowry - Siakam
Aldridge - Gay
Love - Sexton

Even the bottom feeders have some good pairings
Booker - Ayton
Trae Young - Collins
Jaren Jackson Jr. - Ja Morant
Markanen - Lavine

And who could forget...
Rozier + 50 year old Jordan

Sure but you just wait out his injury, tank hard, and then hope he comes back and can play.  If Wall shows he can still play, they can then move him.  It won't be cheap to move Paul or Wall so if they can get some picks for moving Paul, I think you just do it.  And if you are the Wizards you do it to get out from Wall and try to compete this season.  The East is open enough that if Paul and Beal work, the Wizards would have a real shot at making the Finals (at least the ECF).  That would do great for their business and fan base.  also, might let them keep Beal.

Lol, yeah, I was kidding. There is no way they could flip Wall unless he returns to All-Star form and can manage 70+ games in 2020-21. Crazy

The picks would have to be really good for OKC to make that deal.  I don't think adding CP3 would give the Wiz a real shot at the finals or the ECF but the Wiz could delude themselves.  Aren't the Wiz still without a GM?
