Ainge is a greedy man  ;D

This is smart of Ainge though. With all the praise that Tatum is getting, its very easy for anyone to receive the praise, rest on laurels, just go on vacation and not improve your game

also will allow him to not get bulled down low. Once he can add strength and finish through contact AND gets respect from the refs(alot of those scores/misses wouldve been fouls if he wasnt a rookie) he will add to his scoring ALOT

That makes this guy downright scary good. Scary Tatum?

Tatum already has said he's going to work on his body this offseason. Big need.

Agreed. If he bulks up enough to where he can start at the 4 that allows us to have our best 5 players on the court at the same time. That will be a joy to watch.

He's not going to be bulking up as much as people think

Look at Durant

That seems likely; it’s going to be interesting to see how they decide to develop him. My sense is that part of what makes him special is his agility and flexibility at that length. He’s never going to be a banger. More strength will come in handy, but I think it’s going to be a wiry strength that doesn’t slow him down too much. I don’t see him backing guys down unless he gets a guard on him.

Probably the exact same thing. Get better on both sides of the court. And Danny's right. Tatum is going to be a superstar, even Lebron thinks that. But he can't get there unless he does the work and gets better everywhere. Same for Brown. Both have massive untapped potential and are only 20 and 21. They got a lot of work to put in so that by the time they get back to the big time lights of game 7s in the conference Finals or playing in the Finals they can consistently deliver.

exactly. His Agility is his x factor.

He needs functional strength, not bulkiness. I don’t think Lebron can back KD down the way he had been backing down anybody not named Horford or Morris.

People have short memories.  Jaylen through 6 games was on pace to be the youngest player since Kobe to average 20ppg in the conf finals.  He missed that distinction by 2 points.  He scored 2ppg more that Tatum per game (hobbled w injury).   Jaylen has more impactful games this series than Tatum.

That being said - Tatum doin What he did in game 7 is hugely impressive.

Why do people keep talking about "the 4".  BS has 3 positions in his team.  Ball handler, wing and big.  I'm 99% sure he envisions brown, tatum and hayward all being wings and being interchangeable.  BS doesn't strike me as a "i need a banger PF" guy.
