With the Knicks apparent willingness to give up multiple picks and Jordan Hill for the ability to dump Jeffries on the Rockets, I wonder why the Cs don’t expand their offer for Nate to include Jeffries and Wilson Chandler. It’s my understanding that the Knicks have been hesitant to give up Chandler, but is he worth more to them than Hill, swapping picks with the Rockets one year, and then giving up their 1st round pick the next? Of course if the Knicks get really good free agents, then they likely would have a lower pick than the Rockets and wouldn’t be swapping the first pick / only giving up one first and Hill.

Nonetheless, would you do this deal:

Scal, House, TA and Williams for Nate, Jeffries and Chandler?

Think I would.

Meanwhile, I just don’t get this deal for the Rockets. Why give up the opportunity to sign Bosh over a couple of picks and Jordan Hill?

The Rockets probably figure they aren't going to be able to sign a max free agent.

Or even if they think it's possible, they don't want to risk coming away with nothing this summer.  Daryl Morey isn't the kind of guy who's going to overpay a lower tier free agent just for the sake of using cap space.

Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

The first trade that I asolutely love! TP my man.

How about the Knicks throw in a pick too? Seriously! That Jeffires contract is an embarassment (Oh Isaih where art thou?) and is worth a pick too.

Edit: By the way...how does this not improve our wins totals????? Holinger is off on this one.

I doubt the Knicks willingness to give up Chandler, but it's worth a shot. Do they value Hill and a 1st less than Chandler? Probably.

The other nice part about trading Hill is clears another $2.5-3mil in cap space for them this summer...

Hers a better expanded trade-Celtics Give the Knicks Ray Allen & Bill Walker for Nate Robinson, Al Harrington & David Lee. This works on the Trade Machine.

All of the players we would be receiving for Ray are three month rentals.  But why not? It would give us a better shot at a championship this year.

Wilson Chandler is more valuable to NY than Jordan Hill. A lot more valuable.

Chandler and Gallo are considered the cornerstones of that franchise right now.

They are not going to be willing to do this deal. Not with the T-Mac deal a legitimate possibility.

Heck, Donnie Walsh may still unwilling to do this type of a deal if the McGrady one fell through. That's how highly I think he treasures Chandler and Gallinari.

It's obvious he values Gallinari & Chandler over the others, particularly when trading Hill would supply them an additional $1.3mil in cap space.

But -- Hill, switching 1st round picks one year, giving up a 1st the next, and the bird rights to Harrington? Again, my point was -- worth a shot.

Since they can't make the deal work as is due to the BYC issue -- just get this done!!
