I just witnessed RJ Hunter and Sam Dekker exchange jerseys.  That should end that tradition.

It's this kind of attitude that leads to authoritarian dictatorships.

It didn't bother me and not sure how you can deduce that from a statement.  However, it did make me laugh.  I would call that a tunnel exchange instead of an on court one.

I don't mind RJ doing it. He said he didn't know if he would ever play in the NBA again. For all we know this might be his last game as an NBA player. If so I'm sure he wanted a souvenir. And Sam Dekker was probably the only one who would be willing to swap with him  ;D

In general I find jersey swaps to be sportsmanlike things to do at the end of a game anyway. Except if you are Dutch and are playing Germany in soccer:

Quote
The Dutch went without a win over their rivals for several years after losing the final, but they finally got their sweet revenge 14 years later at Euro '88, as Holland eliminated West Germany in the semi-finals after a superb team performance, a triumph that saw Ronald Koeman wipe his backside with Germany star Olaf Thon's jersey in front of the Oranje fans after the players had exchanged shirts.

Well, that’s a quite a leap and silly of you to say. Probably sillier than this thread tbh.

He wanted to swap a jersey. Don’t see what the issue is. Its memorabilia. Soccer players do it all the time. Again, what’s your issue with it? Are only star players allowed to swap jerseys? The guys may have played each other in college or something and maybe just wanted to exchange. I don’t think it’s a huge deal for them to do it. Probably happens every game.

They are both obviously joking. Nobody in the world cares if guys like RJ and Dekker swap jerseys.

It was a joke.  They both came out in the same draft and most likely have a good relationship.  I think the Celtics need a good Round 1 to lighten the mood in here.

Hate this jersey swapping BS.

You really want to give your jersey away? Give it to a kid in the stands.

Congrats to Wade for collecting a bunch of sweaty jerseys from his peers.
