Good luck to all the teams everyone cheers for!
Festival has started.

Interesting note:
Before the Croatia vs Nigeria match, Croatian manger announced our NTs most offensive lineup ever.
4 strikers with Modrić and Rakitić controling the middle behind them. Match starts in 4 and a half hours. We need this win badly as Argentina is in our 2nd leg, and it's a hard position if we have to pull ourselves out vs them.

Higuain gets in on the 83rd min.... Playing against such a tight defence Argentina had two midgets in the penalty area...  Oh and icardi is at his home.....

What a performance by Iceland. The slipper still fits, apparently.

Mexico struck first. What a touch by Chucky Lozano there, coming from a brilliant counter attack.

Germany is reeling a bit here.

How about that touch, eh, Who? The pull back, and to beat Neuer on his near post.

Germany have looked really quite poor.

Still clueless as to why Sane was left out of the squad. I can't think of any reason as to why Draxler would start ahead of him, let alone for Sane to be left out of the squad

Agree. Sane would have provided much needed pace on that wing for Germany. It is quite baffling.

Group F really is a fantastic group. Germany, Sweden, Mexico and South Korea. Wow!

Probably two spots between GER, SWE & MEX, but South Korea are no scrubs either.

Good news for Mexico is they played great in the first half and have a lead.

Bad news for Mexico is Germany did not seem engaged and probably could kick it up 3 notches. Also not sure if Mexico can continue to play at that level for another 45 minutes.

Tactically Germany is a mess..... Kimmich plays as a winger and khedira is all over the place leaving the right side wide open. They are lucky Mexico scored just once....

Why draxler starts and Sane is on vacations is beyond me!

I say they should keep going, though. They are not going to win a possession battle vs Germany. Too organized in the back. If they can, they should try and keep beating them on the counter.

But yes, now they have Germany's attention. I expect a full front assault from this half.

I would've even preferred to see Reus out wide over Draxler

You're getting it. Reus is coming in. But for Khedira.
