Yeah, I don't see why people are underestimating the Washington Wizards. They did a big leap in progress last year, and they're still improving.

I wonder if KG just lost his number too.

If so, any 2008 championship anniversary events at the Garden might be awkward.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

There is also no way KG doesn't get dealt at this point too. Big money, but its an expiring.

Kinda sucks seeing the Captain jumping from team to team. He looks weird in a non-Celtic jersey.

Huh???  Were the Nets not willing to match or top the MLE?
maybe pierce wants to win

If it's about winning, I think he would have signed somewhere else.
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

What a kick in the balls for KG.

Maybe Kg is retiring. Lionel doesn't even know if he's returning yet.

"I have called and I’ve texted him. I have not talked to him yet. KG, if he decides to come back and play, will certainly be in that mix [of the nucleus]. I’m sure if he returns he’s going to probably be in the best condition of his life, wanting to go out with a bang and on own his own terms. That’s what I expect."

That Wizards team has a nice future. Probably the best back court in the league next year.

Sources confirm ESPN report: Paul Pierce to the Wizards for two years, $10M. Pierce wanted to play with Wall and Beal. Solid salvage 4 Wiz.

Smart man

It does seem strange just b/c who ever would have thought the Wiz, but they are an up and coming team, should be better next year as their young guys are now a year older and they have an upgrade at SF, and as of now have as much of a chance as anyone to come out of the East (at least until we see how well Rose plays and if the Cavs make any serious upgrades). I'll probably root for them now that they have Pierce as long as the Cs are out of the picture.

pierce will get great open looks from all the spacing off wall and beal... this was a basketball decision.
