I’m looking forward to Sam’s presscon (hopefully there is one). It would be interesting to see his thought process. I think he’s loyal to Doc, and when he didn’t get the HC job at Philly, he already had one foot out the door. I wanna see if KG and PP had anything to do with his signing in Boston.

Do assistant coaches normally get press conferences when they’re hired?  I can’t say I’ve seen that.

Yup, that’s why I said hopefully there is one. Actually even just an interview would be ok. Just to see his thought process, and what he plans to add in terms of coaching.

Finally some good news for once.

Welcome back, Sam Cassell! Does PP34 and KG wanna come in as assistant coaches too? I need them to scream and grouch at these young kids and coach Mazzulla.

Loved Casell as a player. The only way this isn't a good move is if Joe feels like he has to look over his shoulder if they lose 4 out of 5.

Let’s go!

I continue to believe that these are the types of changes necessary to get us over the hump. Adding Championship DNA like Sam is the way to go.

Now, Joe has to go through an intensive course given by a HOF coach and Brad has to add a few more experienced coaches/players (preferably with Championship experience) to round out the staff/roster.

He is the type of coach Tatum and Brown need a daily dose of.

Must’ve been a huge offer. Cassell should’ve had his chance to have a head coaching job by now, and he was right there with Ime for me for who I wanted two years ago.

He should be good for us.

Loved Casell as a player, excited to see how he impacts the team next season. Having someone who's 'been there' seems to be really key to an effective NBA coaching staff.
Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time.

But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.

Love this hiring.  Might be the next HC if Joe doesn't show growth this year.

He used to single handedly destroy the Celtics during his playing days. He was a great basketball player.

However, I'm not a big fan of this move. From listening to his interviews I get the feeling he talks too much. This probably overwhelms players and coaches. I sure hope I'm wrong.
