Hearing Jimmy Butler talking with Nets and Jazz about trying to get KD and Donovan Mitchell to form a Big 3 in Miami.

Means Bam and Herro are out? Can we get Bam if so lol
Ainge would rather die than give Pat Riley Donovan Mitchell for peanuts.

The Suns-Jazz-Nets trade that's been floated involving Durant looks very interesting

Basically it'd have Mitchell going to BKN, Simmons going to Utah, KD to Phoenix, and obviously there'd be a handful of players + a ton of picks involved as well.

That actually seems to make sense IMO especially if Utah is really going into a bit of a rebuild with all the picks and also taking a bit of a gamble with Simmons. Utah isn't a big market like LA or NY or PHI so maybe Simmons thrives there?

Nets get Mitchell, a lot of picks and still have some young building blocks to try and build with going forward.
Have to see the breakdown as it doesn't make sense for Jazz. PHX picks would be garbage and Nets have no picks so what are Jazz getting?

Yeah, you know there’s no way Ainge trades Mitchell without getting a huge return.

Maybe Ayton also goes to Utah?

I was thinking Miami should trade Bam, Herro and Lowry to BKN for Durant and Kyrie.

A new Big 3 of Jimmy, Durant and Kyrie.

Nets can’t trade for Bam because u can only have one player with some kind of contract that Simmons has..NBA rules
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Charlotte just rescinded their qualifying offer on Miles Bridges. He is now a UFA. Have to think he is untouchable at this point considering his situation.

Love the idea of Jimmy on the same team as Kyrie. Disaster waiting to happen

The Kyrie for Westbrook deal seems to be gaining traction. Say what you want about Kyrie but a big 3 of LBJ, AD, and Kyrie could be a dark horse for the crown? Assuming of course that Kyrie is in his best behavior.

That is a serious Big Three but no supporting cast.

Can't win without a competent supporting cast.

Until AD gets hurts and Kyrie decides to go on another sabbatical.

Quote
A few contending teams expressed interest in signing DiVincenzo with the full taxpayer mid-level exception, and one team with cap space offered more money than Golden State, league sources told HoopsHype.

In the end, DiVincenzo believed the Warriors were his best opportunity to play on a contender and the team’s willingness to give him a player option made the decision for him.

How do the T'Wolves look

G: D'Angelo Russell, John McLaughlin
G: Anthony Edwards, Bryn Forbes
F: Jaden McDaniels, Taureen Prince
C: Karl Anthony Towns, Kyle Anderson
C: Rudy Gobert, Naz Reid

That bench looks seriously weak to me. Not a single above average bench player. At best a couple of average ones and then a couple of well below average ones (the guards).

Looks like a team that will be a so-so on offense but dominant on defense largely due to Gobert. Athletic wings next to Gobert on D helps also. Edwards, Towns and D-Russell should be good enough offensively to make the T'Wolves competitive on offense while running defense-orientated lineups that allow their D to be key for winning games.

I'm thinking low to mid 50s. Maybe more mid 50s than low 50s.

Gobert is a truly dominant regular season player.

Lack if bench gotta be their weakness unless they can add couple more vets.. borderline playoff team

They can't have traded for two players on designated max rookie extensions - both Simmons and Bam would be that. That's what makes the possible transaction so difficult.

Sounds like the T wolves tried for Durant first but refused to give up Edwards or Towns. So, Utah deal got pushed forward.

Brown plus Smart of Williams and picks is potential asking price from us. I have an uneasy feeling and not sure if its good or bad. I think Brown and Tatum can win titles together as they move towards their prime but maybe something else is going on- Perhaps reason we are being showered with Brown malcontent news in media- Are we getting set up for a blockbuster? Brogdon replaces Smart and Gallo,  Williams  if either are included- it looks like Ray before KG stuff from 2007.
