Simply no.  JKJB!  For me this is about having a long term contender.

Do it in a heartbeat and 10 out of 10 times.

Would lose the poor ballhandling of JB but we get a generational superstar talent in return. We've spent like 5 years, 6 with JB and haven't gotten anywhere with championships. Just mainly ECF exits, and now, an NBA Finals exit.

#JTJB (Just Trade Jaylen Brown)
#JFJM (Just Fire Joe Mazzulla)

Voted Yes...Jaylen Brown is really good, but will never be a Durant...KD and Tatum would be lethal.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

I'm aware there are other non-Jaylen ways to acquire KD, and there might be additional pieces moving even if Jaylen's already in the package.

But basically the question is asking would you trade Jaylen this offseason if it meant you're definitely acquiring Durant. As in, that's the ultimatum, Brooklyn will only accept a package that includes Jaylen and you HAVE to include him.

In three seasons, he’s played a total of 90 regular-season games. He turns 34 in September. I wouldn’t call him a good long-term bet, though there’s a good chance of a year or two of contention. Then, too, there’s a good chance of a whole lot of nothing.

I think that sticking with Jaylen gives you more pathways forward, especially to having a perennial contender.

'I was proud of Marcus Smart. He did a great job of keeping us together. He might not get credit for this game, but the pace that he played at, and his playcalling, some of the plays that he called were great. We obviously have to rely on him, so I’m definitely looking forward to Marcus leading this team in that role.' - Jaylen Brown, January 2021
