Improvement at point guard , 2 guard and center are necessary needs to look at. Some possibilities are Beal,Ayton, Fox

An offense with plays.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

You're probably aiming high based upon what our assets and flexibility are.

But for needs, I'd say a long-term replacement at PF; at least one backup wing; and scoring depth wherever it comes from.

If he doesn’t have legal problems, Rajon Rondo. I can’t think of many other floor generals that come cheap. The turnover (and composure) problem is real likely because our point guard is similarly erratic.

Other names (but idk how realistic):
- Rubio
- Brogdon

Second high priority: a backup PF. The next Al Horford will likely be Grant Williams but who’s after that? We don’t even have a prospect we’re grooming who can play garbage minutes (like a Nesmith for the wing position).

Ball handling and decision making under pressure is #1

More reliable scoring from the bench without breaking the defense is #2.

Another reliable wing in the rotation, which could also solve #2

Start looking for a Horford replacement. We can probably get one more quality year out of him. I'd prioritize the defensive versatility. Going for the whole package will be very tough.

The problem is we are good enough that we might be best off letting this group solve its own issues. The best possible scenario is that Tatum and Smart and White get better under pressure and that Nesmith evolves into a solid 2 way rotation player.

Those are not unrealistic possibilities. Anything we do otherwise might block those guys from getting there.

Maybe the front office should just focus on finding a young big who can play flexible defense and leave everything else alone.

Bench scoring, shooting, depth, a switchable PF to eventually replace Horford
