The Celtics do not hate turnovers enough.

If your goal is just to keep turnovers down, you end up with nights like this with horrendous turnover numbers.

The goal needs to be zero turnovers.  A turnover is a shot not taken.

There were so many awful, awkward turnovers in that game that even missed threes became like a breath of fresh air.

Lost 3 out of 4 games at home is unacceptable..seems like they more focus on the road

Exactly. I’ve been saying this since the start of the postseason. We look so much better on the road usually. I feel like we play much looser on the road and tighter at home, likely because of how much energy there is and because we’re expected to win at home.

Losing the amount of games they have at home is head scratching.

Not going to lie, sleeping wasn’t easy last night after that atrocious game lol. Had a nightmare too briefly where the C’s lost the series in Game 7  :P

Call me crazy but that was probably the most annoying game I’ve seen from the Celtics all year and that includes a lot of the games earlier in the season and even Game 5 of the last series.

It’s an ECF game, at home, and you turn it over 24 times???

And I bet 1/3 of them didn’t even require a MIA player to move or make a play, they just got the ball thrown at them or Jaylen/Smart literally dribbled and “handed” it to the defender

I mean, there was one play where Smart threw a one handed pass into 3 Heat defenders standing in the paint, another on a 2 on one break where Jaylen somehow managed to throw it to the lone defender, several Tatum passes trying to thread the needle to cutters that went right into the Heat defense, and countless passes back out to the top of the key that were telegraphed and gift wrapped for the defenders.

It's like a bunch of Jameis Winstons out there throwing interceptions left and right

Then I'm glad the C's won't have any home-court advantage in the Finals. But, that would be a moot point if they drop two more games in this series.

I actually think Mark Jackson put it perfectly last night. This series might not even come down to home court advantage, it'll probably come down to health and also "who can play through pain". Everyone seems to be dealing with something which makes sense since we're this deep into the season and guys are having to grind it out

Once every four times down the court, the Celtics essentially handed the ball to Miami. The Heat didn’t even fully capitalize on those giveaways, though a 33-9 edge in points off turnovers is still a jarring difference.

Taking a serious, business like approach to the game cannot co-exist with constant complaining to the referees, which turns the whole game into a big fat drama instead of a focused effort.
