We’re one game in.  That was one of the most entertaining finishes in Celtics playoff history.  You couldn’t ask for much more from a first round series if you’re a fan of basketball.

All that said, Toronto didn’t look all that imposing against Philly.  Does anybody wish we had tanked that last game against Memphis?  Has anybody changed their minds at all?

1. Was even possible to tank and still lose to Memphis that last game?

2. Beating Nets...probably won't get too many ppl saying any regrets. Now if they lost yesterday, different story.

TBD.  Home court may very well be the difference in a Bucks series.

Of course, let's get this one wrapped up first.

Not yet, no.  Obviously there is a much bigger chance of losing in the first round but I like how this sets up afterwards.  I see no difference between Mil and Miami so having home court longer is better.

I mean I still do. Philly is probably getting a sweep (to be fair this is immensely aided by Trent, Young and Barnes all getting injured in game 1 which probably doesn't happen against us). But yea, if the same thing happened against, given this would be a lot of extra time to get Rob Williams healthy.

I didn’t think it was a very good strategy, but have to say the game yesterday was incredible to watch. Home court advantage wasn’t worth the brutal draw they gave themselves, Imo. Nets, Bucks, Heat is by far the most difficult path to the finals. Hopefully the C’s make it and I have a feeling the Warriors will be waiting if they do.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I’ve always felt that if the goal is a championship, having home-court for as long as possible is the way to go, even if it means a tougher first-round matchup.  The goal isn’t the second round, it’s to win the second round, and beyond.

I'd rather just watch the most entertaining/high stakes games. Playing Brooklyn means we'll have that almost every game.

If we don't win the series, we had no shot winning the Eastern Conference anyway. So I'm basking in the heart attacks!!

Same.

If we do win, I see a lot of confidence coming from that. And we’ll have home court in round 2 at least.

I think we could beat Toronto, and not be any more ready to go all the way. They aren't a star driven team. If we beat the Nets, it's the kind of stress test that will set us up for what's coming. We need to be able to solve for the Nets.

When did Trent get injured?  I thought he was on-court in the 4th.

Amazing series....

Doesn't change the fact that Celts are gonna likely play close to 21 games to get to the Finals. We may be too beat up by that time. That's a tough road.

That being said, home court in rd2 is huge and I don't really see how they could've done too much different. Not sure we could "out lose" to the Grizz and don't think that's the mentality coach is instilling in this team.

KD doesn’t play around .

Chances are pretty good you are going to have to go though him at some point

With Rob we are at least their equal if not really better.

Home court is important against Giannis and KD

I think Nets dreaded Celtics more than Heat or Bucks
