Switchable defensive big who can shoot from 3. Not a good passer yet, and is pretty inconsistent both from game-to-game and within games, but he’s got an immense ceiling and most mocks have him in the 50s. He’s likely to come out as a freshman despite his draft projection due to family financial needs.
21% from 3. If he can deffend at a high level there might be a place for him somewhere.
He defends at a high level, and the defense should be able to make the C’s rotation no later than year 2. Shooting needs more work, but he didn’t shoot 3s in high school so it’s nice that he’s stepping out to that range as a freshman. We’re talking a pick in the early 50s — of course he’s got some things to work on! But the form looks good, and I think he’ll wind up in the low 30 as a pro, maybe better. I’m not saying he’s an outside threat, but I think he could at least shoot as well as Theis from 3 in a season or two.
Defense has elite potential tho. He’s got length, agility, and timing, and would fit very well in the Celtics defensive system. His offensive floor is a rim-runner, but the fact that he steps out for perimeter shots sometimes is promising for him to develop into something more.
He’s a steal at 50 given his floor and ceiling.
