Mine's from about 1972 or so from a band that later became much more popular, but (IMO) was at their finest early on.

Not correct. It was first made famous by a senator and plastic surgery tragedy. Tragedy is being hyperbolic in this case.

Ok no idea then. Looked up "Danger Zone" and that was by Kenny Loggins. Thought he also sang that. Gotta love the plastic surgery hint. lol

I've heard it - my brother gave me one of their CDs a long time ago.  I knew that song was on it but never really caught the lyrics, since I've never heard the original.
