So I felt having a top 5 at position might be fun. I do know the current mocks and rankings on a bunch of sites would differ from my opinion but it's all what you like and how you feel a guy could develop. Feel free to post your top 5 at each position. I added an honorable mention spot as well for guys that deserve spot light that depending on how they develop might surprise.

I'll play. Not necessarily, or even remotely who I think will be the best, but guys I have good feelings about.

PG:
1. Haliburton
2. Lewis Jr.
3. Hayes
4. Maledon
5. Mannion

SG:
1. Green
2. Edwards
3. Nesmith
4. Bolmaro
5. Hampton

SF:
1. Avdija
2. S Bey
3. Okoro
4. Vassell
5. P Williams

PF:
1. Reed
2. Achiuwa
3. Toppin
4. J Smith
5. Pokusevski

C:
1. Okongwu
2. Wiseman
3. Tillman
4. Nnaji
5. Stewart

Again, obviously not who I think is the best prospect (leaving off a top-3 pick). I just think these guys will be good, and I like the way they play

Going to TP for people who post list because feel it can sometimes take a lot of effort to put a list together.

And I ain't judging people on their picks. For me it's about getting knowledge and maybe looking again at players other people value.

LaMelo not even in the top 5 at his position?

That being said, I hate his game too! TP! ;D

Ha, yeah, I just dislike the way he plays. Watched him quite a bit as he played in the local league here, and was not wowed at all. Same concerns as Lonzo for me

I'll try with categories of Center, Bigs, Wings, and Guards

Bigs category will include guys that for the C's would probably play more minutes as one of two bigs on the floor than anything else.

CENTER:
1. Okongwu
2. Wiseman
3. Azubuike
4. Tillman
5. Stewart
HM: Poku

BIGS:
1. P. Williams
2. Toppin
3. Achiuwa
4. Reed
5. Woodard
HM: Jalen Smith

WINGS:
1. Edwards
2. Avdija
3. Okoro
4. Vassell
5. Nesmith
HM: J. Green

GUARDS:
1.Halliburton
2.Hayes
3.Ball
4.Terry
5.Maledon
HM: Lewis Jr.

You are making this too complicated! Follow Brad Stevens' lead here.

"I don’t have the five positions anymore," Stevens said. "It may be as simple as three positions now, where you're either a ball-handler, a wing or a big... It's really important. We've become more versatile as the years have gone on."

3 Positions:

1. Ball handlers
2. Wings
3. Bigs

Funny, I thought it was Stevens that I got the Guard, Wing, Swing , Big from. I’ll have to research where I got that from.

I like the four position base distinction because while the offensive roles between Wing and Swing is indistinguishable on D they are different positions. I view “Swings” as being able to play at least some small ball 5 minutes and matchup against the super sized perimeter players in the league.

I think 3 categories (guards/wings/bigs) works best.

When you doubt between guard/wing, put him as a wing if you could see this player defending (smaller) SF's in the NBA.
If you have a wing/big, put him as a big if you can envision him playing time as a center in the NBA.

I'm going to put a list here, when I have some more time. It will obviously be a great list, because last year I had Bol, Little, Fernando, Windler, Brazdeikis, Bitadze, Gafford and Bazley a lot higher on my mock than they were drafted and look how great they're all doing  :-[ .

On the other hand I was much lower on Hachimura, Hayes, Poole, Langford ( ::)), Reddish, Washington, White and Doumbouya than their actual draft positions, while a couple of them look quite good now.

For Me Hinton is potentially a bigtime stud,

Quote
Nate Hinton is an elite level rebounder for a guard, a hard worker on the defensive end and an all around talent who is still developing his game.

He plays with a great motor, runs the floor hard and attacks the offensive and defensive glass as well as any guard in recent memory.

He showed a lot of improvement his sophomore year with his outside shooting. He’s not a volume shooter but if he can hit the open 3 it’ll go a long way in helping him stick in the NBA.
