No way I'm giving up Langford for one year of a jag like Thompson.

ya the problem is mostly one of salary. Thompson makes 18.5 million so you need to send out something close to like 14.8 million to match. Theis and Kanter make 9.8 combined. It would need to be a 4 for 1 trade if Hayward or Smart arent included.

Yeah, I doubt Hayward is on the table were he's playing so much better than he was last season so far. And Smarts becoming the new KG. Hes the defensive anchor, and his energy is contagious. Even though he wasn't shooting well tonight, he his a couple much needed shots, and made some great passes. Then thers the D. I can't recall anyone that can steel a pass from the guarding like he does.

Thompson I think can only be gotten if Cleveland buys him out.

Not a bad idea, but like others have mentioned, it's going to be hard to match salaries.

4 for 1 trade works.

Theis, Kanter, Poirier, and Semi.

Celts just need to sign a veteran big man during buyout season.

What's up with the Pacers?

They just lost to the Cavs.

Kevin Love 21 points, 13 rebounds, and 9 assists.

Tristan Thompson 25 points 13 rebounds, and 3 blocks.

Celts really need Thompson in the playoffs.

4/1 trade very rarely happen mid season because they disrupt rosters. It would require the cavs to cut three guys to make it work and would add 7.5 million in money to their next year. Not sure they'd do that.

But Thompson did put up some good numbers tonights.

Just wait til the Knicks start losing, and try to get Mitch Rob, and offer Theis, Poirier, Semi and 1 first rounder,

Mitch Rob is a more natural Center, I really wanted celtics to draft him last year, but they preferred Williams, and I sort of expecting them to make an early 2nd round trade then to get him.

He is immature and has no bball IQ -- I would rather have the Timelord.

Ad I'm sure knicks fans would tell you they'd rather have Mitchel. Mitchell is bigger, timelord a better passer.

I think the Cavs would do it if given the right offer.

It doesn't have to be done immediately.
Celts can wait until December or January.

A trio of Rob Williams, Grant Williams, and Tristan Thompson would be good enough for the Celts to counter the size of Philly and Milwaukee.

Thompson strikes me as a bit of a drama queen - not in Kyrie's league certainly, but a player who is not always focused, who sometimes is not hard-core competitive and who can be inconsistent. Not sure he seems like a fit with this group. We need a quality post player, yes, but I don't like the idea of breaking up the great chemistry of this team to get one. Patience, please.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

I'd rather have Theis, Kanter and Poirier instead of Tristan Thompson tbh.
