Feeling a little better - we are still cold from the perimeter and need to move the ball better, but tthe defense was improved and overall a much better effort than those pre-season disasters.

I'm just glad the effort looks completely different. These guys did not care about the preseason at all, which is fine, but I was almost starting to get worried. Early days and definitely stuff to work out, but I was very pleased and entertained with the performance.

Not many mentions of Morris in this thread but 16 and 10 tonight and his some big shots. He brought it.

Hayward finished with no assists, which I would not have guessed.

Good win to open the season!  Team looked overwhelming at times.  Kyrie won't play this poorly again.  Hayward will come around too, I think, though that will probably be more of a gradual process. 

Good to see the bench look every bit as good as advertised.  In particular, I like that Rozier appears to be picking up where he left off despite stepping into a much smaller role.

Yeah I don't buy it.  Not this season, at least.  As talented as the Embiid/Simmons/Fultz trio is, they all have some very glaring flaws as players.  None of them are particularly good shooters (to put it kindly) and they create a lot of extra possessions for the other team with their turnovers. 

They aren't there yet.

They're not athletic enough or good enough on the perimeter.  They need another threat from 3 pt range to take full advantage of Simmons.  Not having a GM in place this off season I think really hurt them.

Kyrie hits his average and the entire 4th quarter is garbage time. This season is gonna be CRAZY.

Welp, if nothing else this is gonna be a fun season. This entire team is full of highlights waiting to happen. Tatum hits ridiculous shots, Brown is somehow even more explosive than last year, Irving dribbles people out of their shoes, Marcus diving on the floor, Rozier doing Rozier things. Its gonna be fun.
