SMU call
That sucks. The shot was off, but that player still interfered with the downward trajectory of the ball. With that shot being close to the rim, any experienced referee will call that goaltending.
I think it really sucks for SMU. The call was technically right, as far as I could tell from the replays, and the ref called it the way he's supposed to. But let's face it: that shot had zero chance of going in. Based on the trajectory, it was either going to just scrape the front of the rim and go straight down to the floor, or maybe catch a bit more iron and take a sharp bounce outward, away from the hoop. UCLA, in my opinion, shouldn't even have been in the tournament, and now they got fortunate again. I'm looking forward to when UCLA loses.
