Can't seem to stay pulled away from these guys.  I'd give the starters some heavy minutes tonight.  We're home all week and their minutes have all been down.

I want 24 minutes from Rondo in the second half.  I know Doc hates to do that, but tonight we're a much better team when he's on the court.  He's young, he has the legs for it.

Agree 100%...NO NEED to get cute with the lineup every game

I remember someone starting a thread worrying about Pierce over our win streak I'd say his performance in this and the last couple minutes of the Bobcats game should make them feel better now.

Nice of the refs to grandfather Anthony Johnson into the 1989 rules of contact.

And Tommy's right - the refs are trying to equalize things on the foul count this half.

yea, TP its nice cause were on the receiving end now.

doesn't make it right at all though.

I am just tuning in online and I see a huge FT disparity between the teams.  What gives?  I suppose Perkins has been breathing too heavily down Superman's neck...
Celtics fan for life.

Yeah it seemed like the last few minutes of the Charlotte game gave him some confidence.  It's funny, there were threads talking about his struggles here, while both the Herald and the Globe has complimentary stories about his rise to the top of the NBA today.  It's a long season.  I love him going a few straight nights with single digit shot attempts.  The way this team works it's going to be a different guy on a given night.  We don't need 25 a night from him to win consistently.  His all around game has been very solid all year long even when his point totals were down.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

Pierce is having a great quarter. Taking over on offense and helping us build a nice lead.

Better D and O this quarter. Of course that was the case in the first half too.

Note to Doc, no 5 bench player combo.

Great third quarter up til now - Orlando is crippled by their backcourt injuries.  Our starters are crushing them back there:

Johnson + Redick: 4-12 FG, 10 PTS, 5 REB, 4 AST
Rondo + Ray: 12-19 FG, 29 PTS, 5 REB, 9 AST

That's the difference in the game so far.

Welcome to today's NBA, where the refs are content if 100% of the calls are wrong but both teams are somewhat even.

The NBA... where amazing(ly bad officiating) happens.
"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

Love Tommy's comment about the reffing after Pierce gets hit on a three point attempt

"They make it up as they go along you know."

Tony is trying to do a little too much right now although if he makes them all guess that's all that counts

Ray and Eddie have the stroke tonight baby.
