Bench depth

Zeller/KO
Sully/Jerebko/Mickey
Crowder/PJ3
Hunter/Young

*one player (likely pf) cut from lineup

Anyone remember the 2012-13 roster to start the season? I remember being excited how deep the team 'appeared' to be:

Rondo / Jet / Barbosa
Bradley / Lee
Pierce / Green
Sully / Bass
KG / Wilcox / Darko (lol)

Our best player just averaged 8.2mpg while racking up 8 DNP's during a championship run... you hear that, notbill?... a CHAMPIONSHIP run.   Banner #17 here we come.

Beat me to it.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

yup, a team of bench players so pretty deep bench.  problem is we don't have a starting-quality starting unit.

10 quality role players. 3 nice rookies. We are stacked. Now if we can find 2 legit stars...

It's great that our bench is as deep as it is. It's a shame we don't have any starters.
1957, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1968, 1969, 1974, 1976, 1981, 1984, 1986, 2008

The 2010-11 Celtics team probably had the deepest bench. Still bummed that injuries messed up our chances that year :-X

PG: Rajon Rondo/Delonte West/Carlos Arroyo
SG: Ray Allen/Avery Bradley/Von Wafer
SF: Paul Pierce/Jeff Green/Sasha Pavlovic
PF: Kevin Garnett/Glen Davis/Troy Murphy
C: Shaq/Jermaine O'Neal/Nenad Krstic
Look at all those C's :o
Jack of all trades, master of none.

We certainly have a deep team (though as others pointed out 2010-2011 was deeper). But what does it really mean? We don't have the stars to contend and you only need 8-10 guys in a rotation. So the depth really only matters with injuries and trades.

Unfortunately the fact that our third string could beat most other team's third string really doesn't matter.

But it's better to have depth than not.
