"We Don't Care, Why Should You?"
TP Max. Sports fans truly confound me. If in people's personal relationships someone demostrated over and over and over again to you that they didn't give a blank about you, why would you continue to give a blank about them?
Now, while I understand that being a fan just like being a friend, lover etc are discretional relationships (unlike being a family member)in that we choose to be in them, one-sided relationships under any of these circumstances are usually very unsatisfying to the side that cares more.
All of the guys on this roster (except marquis and Nate) have gotten their ring. Some are guaranteed their $$$$ next year no matter what effort they put forth, barring some egregious, suspendable offense. Why should they dive for loose balls, focus on defense and run around that extra screen to get free or fight through that pick? Pride, hunger ,ubuntu....all seem to be gone.
So Max put it forward and I'll ask it again: If they don't care, why should we?
