After reading a couple of articles, I'm convinced that Jaylen isn't going to be here for long. I think he would probably like to sign here to get max $, then be traded. He might also want to pick his next place through FA. Either way, I don't think Boston is where he wants to be.

Ideas:

-Jaren Jackson and Bane for Jaylen. Jaylen would be great next to Ja.
-Markennen and a bunch of picks to Utah. Not a huge fan of Markannen but I like those Utah picks.
-Bam, etc and picks. I really like Bam's game.
-Atlanta big men (any of them) + picks for Jaylen. He gets to go home.
-Orlando big men + picks for Jaylen.
-Bridges etc for Jaylen. I bet Jaylen would feel more comfortable in BKN.

Any thoughts?

I’ve always liked Wendell Carter Jr. as he reminds me of Horford.  I believe Orlando will be well below the cap and could absorb  the salary discrepancy.  Carter Jr. and one of their first round picks which we could flip for a veteran wing.  Brown can then be the veteran leader of a young talented team. The Magic currently are projected to have the fifth and ninth pick.  I’m sure we could flip one of those for a solid wing.

If he makes all-NBA, which he very well might, the odds of Jaylen turning down all that money are very, very slim.

Even if he doesn’t get all-NBA I am not convinced Jaylen leaves, and if he wants to stay I would max him and keep him.

If he does leave, though, it might be because Tatum gets featured more than he should. How many games have we seen where Jaylen was scoring easily, Tatum was cold, and Tatum still got the last few shots? Too many.

My biggest hope is the team sticks with what they have been doing recently, and let smart or white bring up the ball. They also need to mix up their end of the game sets. The best outcome of all, bar, none, is Jalen stays.

My thoughts?  I think you're dead wrong and it wasn't worth you creating a new thread after you made similar comments in another thread.

-Jaren Jackson and Bane for Jaylen. Jaylen would be great next to Ja.

That is a fun one to think about.

G: Smart, Brogdon
G: Bane, D White
F: Tatum, Hauser
F: J Jackson, G Williams
C: Horford, Rob Williams

That is a pretty darn awesome team. J Jackson gives us a long term replacement for Horford in terms of being a two way big man, being able to play PF next to a low skilled center like Rob Williams or future replacement due to injury concerns.

J Jackson would give us massive size as well. A true 7 footer at PF. Allows Tatum to play SF full time. Maybe the biggest forward combination in the league. Both among the best defenders in the league at their positions. And with a legit center behind them to provide another layer of rim protection.

The guard rotation is a bit overfull. Four guards who all deserve to play 30-35mpg a night. Only have 96min to share among them so maybe 24mpg each. Not good. All combo guards. We could go small and play Brogdon some minutes at backup SF. At 6-5, 220lbs with long arms, he could play well at SF. He played there some at Milwaukee although predominantly at SG there. Smart could give some minutes there although that is not ideal.

G Williams would be a cool option at backup forward. Allow the team to stay big with G Will at SF or go smaller with him at PF. A team with a 5 out offense with J Jackson at center and G Will at PF would have lethal shooting ability / floor spacing.

-Orlando big men + picks for Jaylen.

Not interested in their picks. It is winning time; not rebuilding time.

Franz Wagner & Wendell Carter Jr would be an interesting package.

Wendell Carter would give us a 3rd big behind Horford and Rob Williams. He gives us a long term replacement option for Horford. Wagner and Tatum would be an awesome combo for forward combination.

I wonder whether Brooklyn would even trade Mikal Bridges for Jaylen Brown at this point. Bridges has done such a good job scoring the ball there. 25ppg and very impressive shooting numbers.

I wonder if they would not just view Jaylen as a lateral move. A lateral move with the incoming player being on a much bigger contract. Why bother? Why not just stick with the guy you got.

I'm #JKJB

But if we did have to trade him (like Jaylen demanded it), I'd love to do it for Bam, a role player + 1-2 picks. Adebayo would fit in with the timeline, and he'd also be a potential Horford replacement down the road when Horford retires probably 3-4 years from now

I doubt that Memphis would give up both Bane and Jackson Jr. for Brown on a one year contract.
We should accept such a deal. Maybe lure them in by adding Smart for Kennard.

Nothing I’ve read makes me think JB doesn’t want to be in Boston. I think it’s an even money bet that racial controversy in Boston increases the likelihood he’d want to stay v. wanting to leave. Jaylen is a political guy and seems to like a challenge.

Does anyone know what the contract comparisons are between what the C's could offer Jaylen and what other teams could if he doesn't make All-NBA? I know if he makes All-NBA, he could sign 5/290M
