Is this a Championship starting five

 Who knows what the bench will look like. I'd like to hear some suggestions of veterans that may play for a discount on this team.

 let's just say for the sake of this argument this team stays together for 4 years so they bring home at least one or two championships.

In my opinion yes. It's got all the ingredients: MVP caliber talent in Davis; top 3 PG in Kyrie; 3 elite defenders in AD, Horford and Brown; 3 good facilitators in Hayward, Kyrie and Horford (plus AD is coming off his best passing season); and 3-4 good shooters from 3.

Plus, it has a clearly defined pecking order on offence. If Brad got that group to mesh it would be a title contender

Hayward and Irving are weak defensively and can be exploited.

Definitely a contender in terms of talent. But this year’s coaching job was suspect. I hope CBS learns from this year and becomes more assertive.

That lineup- yes.

But the coach isn't. Either Brad Stevens put on his big boy pants and change his schemes, or find a new coach who'll work efficiently with that group.

Not sure. AD hasn't proved that he can lead a contending team and Hayward may not improve enough to get to the level the team needs him to be. On paper though that's a great team.

It could probably win a title, but it could also lose in the ECS.  I'd feel much better about that teams chances though.

Absolutely.  It's a complete pipe dream and will never happen, but it's a Championship Caliber starting five no doubt.

I'm not 100% on Kyrie leading a team...even as talented as the one the OP presents.

It makes no sense having a team like this if everyone doesn't get a chance to touch the ball on offense.

If we have the same version of Kyrie, as we had this year, then NO it will not be a championship team. The question will always remain, Does Kyrie care about winning at the expense of his own "brand?"

Hayward is an incredibly weak link in that lineup.

Team would be better off with a defensive 3pt threat at sf
