Color me impressed by his playoff performance thus far. Regardless of what happens today... He has at least shown that he can guard an elite big like Jokic. Plus has some nice underrated skills/iq.  Not great in any one area (can't shoot the 3), but has very good size, mobility, rebounder and can do a little bit of everything.

What about signing him to a 4 year at about  12-14 million per season?

That would be awful. I would rather stick with Baynes and Theis and Timelord than to pay and give minutes to Kanter

Thanks Triboy.  We can always count on you to come up with a proposal that would make the situation worse.  In case you haven't heard the modern NBA game has devalued all but the very best centers.  Any GM that suggests paying Kanter 4 years @12-14M per year ought to be fired on the spot.

To top it off, Kanter doesn't fit Stevens system.  If we do need a replacement for Horford, I might suggest Dedmon.

Good option imo for a min or MLE.

Without Horford you want to just stay bare up front or just Baynes + inexperienced Time Lord

goodluck with that

I like kanter but I think he's prolly gonna stay in Portland.  Nurkic will have a long recovery.

The problem with Kanter is he's bad defensively.

CBS doesn't play players who're bad on defense.

I think Kanter has proven he's a better player than injury prone Baynes, Theis and "Timelord."

Brad will probably just misuse Kanter's skillset.
