Where will Gordon Hayward be in the next 2-3 years?

Better than he was in Utah. The reason Hayward came to Boston was to become the idealized version of himself. Top 20 Player in the league. Worth every penny of his contract.

At the level he was at in Utah. Legitimate All Star. Top 30 Player in the League. Expensive but excellent player.
13 (20.6%)
Team leader. Top 50 Player. Completely addresses all of the issues that he had in 2018/2019. Doesn't quite live up to massive contract but still a valuable contributor to our finals contending team.
22 (34.9%)
Improved from 2018 season but never got back to where he was before the injury. He'd be a fine player if he made about half as much.
18 (28.6%)
Remains where he was in 2018. Hesitant, never gets back his athleticism.  Inconsistent. Often a liability on both ends of the floor. Albatross of a contract.
6 (9.5%)
Worst contract in the league. Regresses even from what we saw in 2018. Ultimately the biggest reason why the Celtics never reached their potential.

I said top 30 but it comes with a couple caveats.  He never would have risen to the level he did rise to had he not been given the keys to that Utah team.  Just like Oladipo would have never risen to his heights had he stayed in OKC w/ Westbrook.  So my caveat is that if he and Kyrie both stay here, he will not get back to top 30 level.  If Kyrie or Gordon go elsewhere, then he can.  If its Gordon that goes elsewhere, there's an additional caveat that it has to be a place with a smart coach.

I think with a healthy off season where he works on basketball skills rther than rehab will gain back much if not all of the missing explosion and confidence.  He needs touches to be max effective, but with a motion type offense BS wants he is perfect.  AD will do fine in that offense, but KI has to continue to evolve in it.  He has to learn when to take it all the way to the hole, when to collapse the D and dump to AD or AH, and when to collapse and kick out to the open shooter.  He needs to minimize some of this collapse and then fall away jumper.  HE is excellant at it, but it is not a consistent or high percentage shot.  If you can add AD with a trade like JT, JB(or MS), and Baynes type trades with only a couple picks I think a lineup of KI, MS(or JB), GH, AH, AD would be very strong on D with plenty of offense.  Resign MM, draft a PG or wing, and then bring in a vet or three with the minimum, exception, etc they would be solid.

If they do JB and JT I only give them max of 2 1st rnd picks in next two drafts.

Hayward became a liability as soon as Tatum and Brown came along and flourished. Fortunately, he wasn't around last year, and they got the opportunities they needed. But his presence this year from the start screwed up their opportunity to develop further, and may have wrecked the team chemistry.

It's a shame, because it wasn't Hayward's fault. Coming back from a dreadful injury, and fighting an uphill battle, he deserves a lot of credit. But he found himself on a team that didn't really need him--especially as a diminished player, because they had great young talent who needed the minutes and the opportunity. And his salary made him untradeable.

The trouble with Ainge is he is too good a drafter! Much better than his FA signings. He drafted a couple of top picks who basically trumped his free agents. And didn't  pay much attention to the chemistry implications. Trouble is, he signed Hayward before he knew all this.
