Celtics need a better PF/C than Theis and Kanter

They also need to not play Grant Williams at the five it doesn't work.

Not against someone as skilled as Sabonis. It was a poor coaching decision.

Hayward gets injured, doesn't come back.

Celtic fans: Brad is dumb for not putting Hayward on the court in the 4th.

I was surprised Brown wasn't used more after his 6th foul.

No broken nose for Hayward:

Not broken - get back in the game!

And the only way to find out for sure was to get him out of the game. They have a back to back to play and a long season to go. Why risk it? Its idiotic.

This was truly the key to the game.

Sabonis and Turner are world class in comparison

Too bad Timelord is out, because he would have made the Pacers think twice before driving in

Danny needs to understand that if you want to play small ball without a legit PF and Walker (small).  You need a legit big to prevent situations like tonight.

Despite having played with the greatest front line in the history of basketball, Danny Ainge lives in an imaginary world where small, athletic, finesse teams win all the titles and no one over 6-8 is allowed to play.

When you say anybody that tall isn't "allowed to play", that's obviously hyperbole. When they had Horford and Baynes on the team they played. They've tried playing Kanter and Poirier, but those guys just aren't that good.

So you must mean he hasn't acquired better bigs. Who among the wings do you give up and who do you want to get for them? We could have kept Baynes, we just would have had to give up on Kemba. Is that what you wanted him to do? What's your proposal? I don't think Ainge is allergic to bigs, I just think his attempts haven't panned out. He went hard after Horford and got him because he wanted a good big. It just fell apart because of the reasons we've all rehashed endlessly and we lost him.

I mean he showed up for the 7-0 run to get them the 10 point lead? He then was also there when he had a part in 3 awful turnovers than blew the lead to start the 4th. Tatum didn't play well, but the idea he "didn't show up" is weird to me.

He wasn't passive on either end, he just didn't make good plays with the exception of one good stretch.

Am I the only one who was upset at the officiating? I felt like I was transforming into the second coming of Tommy watching from home

I was not happy with how they officiated contact that game, as were the players. They let them play but then also belw the whistle a lot.

It was a very physical game and the C's didn't get the same whistle in the first half. As Brad said the Pacers initiated it more and got rewarded for it.

No.  Read this thread, many folks complaining about the refs during the game.

It will be interesting to see how much gas the team has in the tank for tonight. Particularly Kemba. He expended a lot of energy last night. I'd also like to see Tatum come out with his hair on fire, particularly in light of how he played last night.

On Brogdon, I have to admit, he is better than I thought. He's kind of like the tortoise and the hare. He's not speeding around, and never really flashy, but at the end of the game, you look up and he's owned you. Amazing to me that the Bucks don't miss him more.

Bucks will definitely miss him for sure, he was one of their best consistent scorers inside and defenders.
