Danny’s gotta retire: Nobody wants to trade with him and we last won a title when George W. Bush was president.

Popovich needs to realize the championship runs in San Antonio are over. Can Bill Russell please go down to San Antonio and convince Pops to come be our GM and assistant HC with Stevens?

What are some other potential GM moves we could make this off-season if Danny retires?

We tried the rebuild, had a couple semi-serious runs, and have a good foundation in Tatum/Brown/Smart...but we need to make some changes to leadership, so what can we do?

Why would Bill Russell, and 86 year old man that has had health issues in the past, do this again?  For a franchise he's had a very prickly relationship with for years?  A franchise that he basically has no connection to anymore?

Danny doesn't need to go!  Last four year in a row, losses in the ECF.

You have to let his plan play out.  many here, for years, have been saying, let the young kids develop, let the draft picks play out.  Let Boston become the next GSW.  We're close, Tatum and Brown are Klay and Steph, the two superstars.  Most of the other pieces are there, need health to begin with.   Kemba and Romeo change the look of this team, then there's that TPE....

This should be merged with OP's other horrible thread from this morning. No need for 2 Trash pits of flawed premises to be out there.

I have a question for everyone,

Hypothetically speaking, if Danny decided he needed to retire, who would you want to see the Celtics bring in as the new GM?

Anyone that has not been a GM Before?

Maybe he's generating as many posts as he can to get a Star, regardless or topic or repetitive topic.  I still say, he doesn't like DA because his identify is Tree Rollins!
