How about actors and actresses that are good and get one whole Oscar but never really made much meaningful work (sometimes before. sometimes after. sometimes both)

Nah - whether he ought to be in the HOF is a legit question, but 2-3 more decent years and his numbers'll definitely get him in.  The Basketball HOF has a pretty low bar for entry.
