Out of curiosity, how do draft order/teams get determined?

That will be a topic of discussion. I was thinking of having a contest for the top 3 teams in the league, and doing a standard randomizer for the remaining 24.

Because, lets face it. Building around LBJ/Wade, Durant/Westbrook, or CP3/Griffin is gonna be a lot easier than rebuilding around Bogut/Jennings (which I had to do last season, and I will NOT do again.

Here's an idea, IP -

Make Round 1 be teams.

So if I have the first overall selection I can pick what team (and 2 players) I'd be starting my franchise with.

EDIT: Also gives people more control over the type of team they get to rebuild. For example rebuilding around the Bucks might not sound fun to some (ie: you), but it might be a dream for others (ie: not me)

That's a good idear. How does everyone also feel about the modified snake? Regular snake? Jake the Snake Roberts?

(Also, Snake-eyes, House Slytherin, and Sly and the Family Stone?)

I think modified snake similar to the Celticsblog draft is the way to go.

Starting with an elite combo like Wade & James is going to be much better than (keeping with the theme) Jennings/Bogut, your pick of the litter (Ty Chan, Rudy Gay, Bosh) and an early second round pick when you're looking at the Afflalo's of the world.

Actually, I like the 'pick two' aspect. I can't think of one team without at least one easy choice, but a lot of teams have a tougher choice at number 2. Adds another layer.

The Knicks are gonna be a tough one. I bet someone keeps STAT or Melo, and Chandler, instead of Stat & Melo

How about pick 2, but one can't be the top scorer on the team?
Yup

That'd be pretty interesting, on a lot of teams the top player isn't the top scorer anyways.
