Same here. I completely support him until he decides to do something stupid.

I didn't really follow his issue with the Knocks too closely, but it's probably a good thing that we're counting on him being a role player and not the cornerstone of our franchise. Maybe he will be happy just playing. I think a lot of the animosity that the Knicks felt towards him was related to the amount of money he earned, kind of the way many of the complaints about Scal earlier this year focused as much on his salary as his play.

yup and yup.

I wonder if marbury helps the C's win a title, will anyone admit they were wrong?

I will, if he destroys their chemistry in the next few months. One way or the other we can have a "i was wrong about Marbury thread."  :P

I also support him if he takes a few games to shake the rust off, I hope people here don't jump to conclusions on his first couple games unless he does something dumb.

Right... If Marbury joined the team 2 weeks ago, so many people would blame him for Pruitt's DUI.  ::)

LIke PJ, he needs a month of in season "camp"

Maybe this will be like bizarro Cassell.  Last year everyone wanted us to sign Cassell as a backup.  He was thought of as the perfect backup for Rondo.  We signed him and he ended up being total garbage.

This year nobody wanted Marbury because he's a headcase nutter... maybe he'll actually end up being totally perfect.

I can't really see why you wouldn't support this pickup unless you're some obsessed Pruitt or House homer who is concerned about their minutes.  Best case: he plays 10-15 mpg backing up Rondo and maybe even slides to the 2 a bit when Ray's out to get some more minutes.  Here he provides ball handling and scoring that our bench so desperately needs.  Worst case:  he's a headcase who can't deal backing up Rondo and not being the focus of the offensive.

The thing is, if it's the worst case, we just cut him.  It's really not a big deal.  And given that there's nobody else out there worth getting (and there probably won't be, given that March 1 is 2 days away), there's really no reason not to sign him.
