I can understand people not wanting him before he joined the Celtics but once he joins the team I really think you should get behind a player excited to be here and looking to help us win. If he screws up that is a different story but to read what a lot of people here have been writing even after the deal went down it is embarassing. If he does play tonight I hope he gets a standing ovation.

I don't care who it is, or what he's done.
we can't change that he's here, we might as well make him feel welcome.
Standing O.

That's how I fell.  I cheer all Celtics players.

Even Scal a Bree Knee?
God bless and good night!

Just like others have already said, when a player who first comes to the team, and wants to be here, you have to cheer for them.

Now if they do something stupid and start messing with the team you can boo.

If people boo him that ridiculous. This guy is very excited to be here and will be a great player to have. I hope he gets a standing O.

He gets a clean slate from me.  He could have signed with our competitors and chose us, so cheer him on to do well. BTW, I remember him looking very good in pre-season, quick as ever. The guy is only 32. He has some good bball left in his legs.  He is going to be a huge boost to our bench.  Plus, the fact that he is a shooting PG is perfect for our needs.

Anyone that is a Celtics' fan and boos a guy who is coming in with a chance at a fresh start needs a swift kick in the sack.  Now, if he starts coming unglued and acting like a jackie in the next little while, bring out the boo birds.

Let's get behind him and hope he gives us a big lift off that bench.  Welcome, Stephon.  6th man!

I'm the same way also. Love to all the C's players.

He's a Celtic, isn't he?

How can you not cheer for this guy? He's chosen to become a part of the Celtics family on his own where he could have played else where. He's got a clean slate in my book and even though I won't be at the game, I'll be at my favorite Boston bar out here in California (Sonny McLean's) cheering him on!  ;D The rise of the new employee #8 has begun.

I'm pretty sure he will get a standing ovation. Celtics fans always greet their players with excitement. I'm sure Moore will get a loud applause, also.

Did Mikki get a standing ovation? If Marbury does I will be stunned. 70/30 applause/booing.

What has he done to us that deserves boos?
