New guys must be happy Marcus Smart is on their team for the last two minutes of a tight game.

He took a couple of bad shots that turned out inconsequential, but shots you don't want him to take nonetheless. At least the shots he did make were huge.

his clutch gene is real. he hits them when they count.
My biases, in order of fervor:
Pro:
Smart, Brown, Hayward, Tatum, Kemba, Grant Williams, Sleepy Williams, Edwards!

Anti:
Kanter, Semi, Theis, Poierier

MVP - Horford
Unsung hero - Baynes for timely baskets and FTs in the 1st half, rebounding and solid D on Monroe

Props to Irving for a very solid game.  Efficient shooting and did a great job creating some looks for others.

Three things:

1. Having Aron Baynes sure is nice. Finally, someone can get a rebound when we need one!
2. Marcus Smart's shot selection is still infuriating.
3. I won't be disappointed if I never see Shane Larking play another minute.

Oh, and also, did I mention that Marcus Smart's shot selection is infuriating?

Smart gets Tommy Point for cross checking the Freak at about 6 mins?

Stevens rotations were killah. He threw everything he could find at the deer.

Horford giving credit to Smart for setting screens that got him open for 3's.

Very good win.

Props to Horford and Irving for great games.  Baynes and Tatum did work.  Brown struggled from the field and missed some looks he usually hits, but he still found a way to help with 10 boards.

Early impression of this team is that their athleticism and interior physicality are much improved over last year.  Good to see.

Nice win with Brown, Rozier, Smart going 6/29. Like that even tho Brown's shot was off he still had 10 rebounds and some good d. Smart had a very Marcus Smart game with some awful shot selection but some clutch 4qrt plays. Horford was a beast, Irving was efficient, Tatum was quiet, Semi had some nice d on the freak. Good overall defensive effort, starting to think our d may be pretty good this year.

The defense for the last 5 to 6 minutes of the game was money. The guys were on them for real.

Mid fourth quarter the "Smart Rozier" brigade got them up 7 and that was it. Get Kyrie in there and run the blendah.

Barkley doubles down on stupid. He calls Celtics and Bucks mediocre teams.

Eh, I don't know. Shaq's "analysis" is always rather suspect, too. Granted, he's on there more for the entertainment factor.

There's nothing I find more annoying than people complaining about Smart's shot selection, and nothing I find more satisfying than Smart draining clutch threes.
