This movie looks like a cross between Blair Witch Project (attempt at raw footage) and the Saw series (hyped up beyond belief).

Horror movies these days are more like comedies for me. I'm the worst person to watch one with because I"m laughing the whole time. The "scarier" the movie the more cliche I find it really is.

The scariest movie I"ve ever seen was "Fire In The Sky".

Thoughts?

TP on Fire in the Sky. That last 10 minutes scared the bejesus outta me. Cloverfield kinda got me a little too especially the tunnel part.

One movie that creeped me out but in a different way was United 93. The movie about hijacked plane on September 11th that was apparently retaken by passengers and eventually crashed in Shanksville, Pa. Watching it just creeped me out. Not only because it was obviously real, but watching it...the best way I can describe it is imagine on September 10th, 2001 someone told you 4 planes were gonna be hijacked and over 2300 REAL people were gonna die and you couldn't do anything about it. You just had to sit there and watch it happen. That is what it was like. Watched that movie in a partially filled theater to total silence and when it went to DVD I actually bought it. To this day I've never actually watched the DVD I bought. Just saw it the one time in the theater. I can't seem to make myself watch it again.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity...

Never seen it. Heard its really scary, but never seen it..may explain why I've never really thought clowns were scary.

Thumbs up to the Fire in the Sky mention.  That movie about wrecked me as a kid.

I'm looking forward to seeing Paranormal Activity once it makes it to the sticks.  There's been a lot of solid horror movies put out both in the U.S. and abroad these last few years.  Hopefully this delivers as well.

True, I was very scared back in the day. That clown was evil, for real :'( ;)

It's still a great movie, save for some of the cheesy effects. I can highly recommend the book, too. It's one of the best books I've ever read.

The exorcist scares me.
I can't believe that I can truly call any movie the scariest of all time, since there will always be movies that I have not seen, and more to come in the future.
Practice? Whatchu talkin about practice?

When I was a kid I tried to get through The Shining several times and always had to turn off the tv when the ghosts of those two sisters popped up in the hallway.  The movie always seemed to come on at night after my parents went to bed so that didn't help.  Thats the scariest movie for me, and I'll check out Paranormal Activity.
