Reminder: Please do not reply to spam

Obviously, there's been a recent uptick in spam.  This is unlikely to subside in the immediate future.

From a member perspective, we ask you to handle spam as follows:

Please do report it, using the report to moderator button;

Please don't reply to it.  This not only bumps the spam -- giving it more visibility -- but it also makes the staff's job more difficult in terms of finding and deleting threads.

Trust me, nobody likes this stuff, least of all the staff members who have to delete the threads and ban the spammers.  However, please know that we're working on the issue.  We appreciate you all following the guidelines above.

And please, please DO NOT quote spam.  I know you guys mean well, but this is just giving the spammers more exposure (and more links), which is what they want.  Plus, it adds more posts that we need to delete.
