They call them end of the bench guys for a reason. Horrible 2nd half

It was good to watch Williams and also to see Hayward....
Hayward got on the court and played a lot of minutes.  That alone makes the night a success.

That and watching Williams fly up and down the court at that size...
Agree. He was very active. A guy his size who can move like that has a chance to be a factor.

I am just fine with the limited pre-season games - wish there were actually just a couple of them. But having so little preseason practice is crazy. The solution ?  Shorter regular season.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Practice really is an after thought when it comes to the NBA.

Bitterly disappointed that our perfect preseason record was ruined. Refs screwed up the game and 9-47 from beyond the arc is nuts.

Other than that, I like what I saw from Brown and Williams and was did not from Yabu and Semi.

The biggest issue to keep an eye on is whether this was an off night for GH or is he going to take time to return to form (or both), because he looked pretty tentative to me.

Limited minutes, and in Gordo’s case 10 points on 7 shots ain’t bad.

Is it just me, or is Brad emphasizing the three a lot more this year? I know we're only 14 minutes in, but we've already shot soooo many threes.

We've already shot 20 lol Can't tell if that is purposeful or just because it's our first game. Wouldn't surprise me to see Brad emphasize that with our roster.

We are not the Warriors - As much as Stevens and Ainge are in love with small-ball, 3-point shooting, finesse basketball, I do not want to see us try to be Golden State 2.0. How about let's be the Boston Celtics 1.0, shoot the 3, but be a more physical team than Golden State, Houston, Toronto, etc. That is what could be our advantage to get past these teams.
Besides which, I sure miss the old low post days.

Our team looked like they needed more practice the way they played tonite. Shooting that many 3's is ludicrous. (yes i know we led 37-20, Charlotte needs more practice as well)

not too bad, the starters and the 2nd stringers were just pouring it on. Hayward didn't look that rusty to me imo.

Interesting to say our 3rd stringers are playing relatively well against Charlotte's 2nd stringers. Love that man's move by Yabu on Kaminsky.

Williams looks very active, Wanamaker and Lemon are very quick. I am liking what I saw out of them.

I was wincing every time Hayward did anything for a while but it's great to see the team made whole again. Gonna be a fun year.
