UK is really annoying me. They're basically building college super teams. Their 2012 team was basically unfair as will be their 2014 team. I think they're selling the school as a place you can win a championship in 1 year then move on to the NBA. A trend is beginning to form.

I imagine most of the recruits take a pay cut when they leave for the NBA though.

And there is something wrong with that?????

Yes these kids get a free education. If you had the opportunity to stay in school or make 4 million dollars... Dont kid yourself you would take the money

Kentucky is the product of the 1 and dumb (done) rule, and Cal has figured out the formula. Win as a team, mask each others flaws, leave after the year and get drafted. Most likely at a higher position ($$$) than at another school being a #1 option. I'm sure Cal promises greatness with only one year of commitment. It's a straight funnel to the NBA, to get exposure for players and for them to build a network. It's genius.  The fact that Cal can be represented by CAA and invite world wide wes to the practice facility (and locker room after last years 'ship) is fishy though and should get a look by the ncaa. Regardless, he's revolutionizing recruiting.

kentucky is a great basketball school. Who cares if they only go for one year? I dont get all the hate kentucky gets. Its just another school, it just so happens that great players are attracted to a school that continuously win championships, has a great basketball tradition, and has a ridiculous number of players get drafted highly.

I don't have any problem with them going for one year.

My problem is a bunch of the top prospects going to the same schools.
