I like this idea, and think it's realistic.
Wouldn't mind giving up #14 + Yabusele for him.
I personally would be looking more at someone like Sabonis, but I think it's unlikely he'll truly be available.
Karl Anthony Towns is now the dream target after AD, but he won't be available until probably next summer at the earliest.
It wouldn't kill Indiana to move one of Sabonis or Turner for wing help. I don't know how psyched people would be if we dealt Brown, but that's about where the offer would begin.
It's a tricky one for sure. Turner is locked up for considerably longer at $18m a year until 2023, and he's a better defender and shooter. However, Sabonis is probably due some money in 2021, is the better rebounder and passer, and is a more aggressive scorer.
Sabonis is also a month younger and has less of an injury history. Personally I'd prefer Sabonis here. His season he put up in Indy was awesome. He'd also be easier to trade for salary-wise.
Moving Brown would be a gut-punch though.
Yeah, matching Turner's salary would be tough, but he comes in at a pretty good price. JB will likely make considerably more than that starting next year.
Turner is still only 23 and he seems like he could really grow into a perennial all-star type. Sabonis has that kind of game that everybody loves, but I am not sure about his ceiling and his inability to stretch the floor is somewhat of a concern for me. He is really solid, though - don't get me wrong.
So I guess if I am moving Brown and both were up for grabs, I would have to go with Turner.
