Ok I've decided to go way off topic here, but I think there are a few hardcore wrestling fans on this blog, and figured why not hear who you guys like over the years. (this stems from a while back we had a Doink conversation somewhere on the blog)

I'll start by saying my favorite wrestler of all-time was Chris Benoit, he was masterful in the ring, what a shame how his life ended.

My favorite wrestler as an entertainer was The Rock.  I started watching heavily in the attitude era and what a performer, he had the crowd eating out of his hand whether he was a heel or a face...awesome stuff

and my darkhorse, a guy I always liked but who never made it as big as I though he could have would be D-Lo Brown - entertaining, good in the ring (except when he almost killed Darren Drozdof), all around solid...

That said, no one could bring a chill to an audience quite like the Nature Boy Ric Flair - one of my favorite guys to say I had the pleasure of seeing wrestle in person.

that's a good pick, here's a guy who's consistently worked through some of the worst fueds and still come out on top (Giant Gonzales anyone?) - Did you like his American BA gimmick? I thought it fit him very well (though calling himself Booger Red was a little weird) - but when he came back as the deadman it was like, its on now...definitely a company man, class act, and top performer

Loved The Rock when he was with the Corporation.  Besides that, The Macho Man and The Honky Tonk Man were my favorites growing up.  The all time best is Mr. McMahon.  Without him, wrestling just wouldn't be as entertaining as it is today.
"Coach you were 24 and 58 last year, why the playoff talk?"
"Well we made a couple of key trades . . . and we got The Funk."

Man, when I saw the title of this thread, my first thought was "how am I going to admit I liked Chris Benoit?"  I'm glad you took the lead on that one.  Just an incredible tactical wrestler.

My other favorites are, unoriginally enough, Hulk Hogan, The Rock, and Stone Cold.  All three of them were more entertainers than great individual wrestlers, but all three got the crowd pumped up.

Macho Man had his charms...The Hulkster always made me giggle...Andre the Giant was just great to look at, but the only wrestler I ever truly believed in was George "The Animal" Steele (and maybe Jimmy Superfly Snooka)

Yup

Growing up it was Bruno Sammartino. Then Ric Flair came along and the rest is history- the greatest wrestler of all time. I also loved Terry Funk, Superstar Billy Graham, the Road Warriors (Legion of Doom) and fav manager was Captain Lou Albano.

shockingly I agree WD on Edge being the best right now.  He is the perfect heel, plays the character to a T, and backs it up in the ring.

Another guy I totally forgot about, but his interactions with Edge were so brilliant, is Kurt Angle... great in the ring, hilarious personality

And of course no guy was more "shocking" than:
