White is not having a great defensive night. He's getting scored on and drove by at will, and not just by Mitchell.

We always play well when GWill is aggressive

Also notice that the pace is so much better tonight.

I do think Tatum has something to do with that. He walks the ball up a lot. We're so much better when we push the ball.

I attribute that to Tatum probably feeling fatigued. It does feel he's been trying to coast some games and only expend energy when needed, which leads to him walking up the ball slowly. He's a competitor and won't admit it, but I think he was feeling fatigued and I'm glad he has tonight off. It'll only help down the road. The guy has played A TON this season and a lot of heavy minute games too

Grant’s getting his Mojo back.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

God, the offense is so, so, so much better when we play fast and don't walk the ball up.

And that's seemingly within the Mazzulla ball philosophy, so why is that not emphasized more?

If Joe called a timeout he’s definitely not happy with them getting ragged

This group of backups mixed with a starter or two are so much better to watch than our full healthy roster.

They play a much better brand of basketball - effort on defense, players moving and screening on offense, the ball moves and doesn't get stuck like with the normal starters, they CARE about winning the game, much different energy.

I'm not claiming that these guys could win the title with their talent ceiling.
What I am saying is the starters need to play the way these guys play and then they could win the title.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Big stretch right here. CLE was going to go on a run, but now we'll see how this team responds. Either we finish the half with a double digit lead, or just let CLE right back into this quickly

Agreed. This lineup play like they trust each other. And the energy.

These gambling ads in an actual playoff game are going to be so ridiculous
