Does anyone trust Team Lebrons doctors to do a correct medical evaluation of kyrie on game day lol

That's why I said OUR doctor, not LeBum's doctor  ;D

No way to give a real answer without knowing details of his injury.  I voted yes because he’ll play if he’s ready.  Saying no is speculating that you think he isn’t ready and he shouldn’t play.  We don’t know, they do.

My thinking exactly. If he's 100%, like Brad said, no reason why he can't shoot a few 3's with no defence

More players should skip the all star game and actually rest.  Would help a lot of players and teams out in the stretch run.

Put this question another way - Pretend that you are an NBA-level talent and a starter for the Celtics and had just missed the last two games with an injury - would you play in this All-Star game ? Don't pretend you are Irving, answer as if this is you.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

If I’m healthy and ready to go absolutely.  I’d go and represent the Celtics, jump in the scene and maybe make some connections/recruit.

If we’re interested in keeping Kyrie then it can only be a good thing to create good experiences with the Celtics.  I’d rather that than him looking back on it with a negative shade of missing the All-star game this year because it might look bad.  He doesn’t need to miss it if he’s healthy because people might perceive it to be a bad thing to play since he missed the last two games.  I think that’s getting a little ridiculous.

It doesn’t matter though because he’ll get ripped whatever he does.  If he misses it people will say he’s unreliable, injury prone, can’t stay on the court.  If he plays he “doesn’t care about the Celtics”, and only about himself.  All from a bunch of people who know nothing of his injury, while his team has said they want him to play if he’s cleared.

The nays just went on a 9-2 run in this poll and lead 62%-38%.

Last night it was tight (14-12) after a strong 8-2 nay start.

I'm fine with it.  It's a glorified exhibition game until the last 6 minutes or so of the game.  It's not like he'd be playing extended minutes or anything.

If he's cleared to play, I'm fine with it.  After all, he was voted in.  People want to see him.

It should be Team 1st, Ego 2nd - but not in this day and age. But the Celtics also need to not p--- him off because it might turn him off to staying here.  It is what it is.  Fortunately the All Star game is nothing but an exhibition and the players usually play it so no one gets hurt.  So whatever.

There is very little in this world I find less interesting than all-star games.

If KI is healthy enough to run up and down a court for 10 minutes, I couldn’t care less if he plays.   As long as he’s ready for Milwaukee.

30 no to. 15 yes

2 to 1

I hope KI is a Celtic for life. I know we are contenders with him and probably not without him.

He missed the last 2 important regular season games. (Luckily we won!). He didn’t make the trip to Philly to support his team. He wants to have fun and play with his buddies/peers in the ASG.

I don’t know. Just feels wrong to me.

These aren’t even slightly related to one another. Brad even said if there had been a Celtics game on Friday Kyrie would’ve very likely to play.

Weird that fans are getting upset when the coach is not

Starting to think we don’t deserve Irving. He’s literally done thing wrong except failing to control a media narrative. Boston fans should be smarter.

If healthy, then yes.

It's only a bad look IF Kyrie plays the AS game but then misses more games once the C's resume playing again. With 24 games to go and a tough stretch ahead, we really can't just be "resting" Kyrie every other game now even against garbage teams (unless he's truly injured at some point but that would be another separate issue).

Even against bad teams I'd prefer we play him since now the margin of error is real low for this team IF we want the 3, or even 2 seed.

I posted this before and I still stand by this, I'm fine with Kyrie playing tomorrow night.

But he better be available for most of our remaining games this season, starting this Thursday @MIL.
