There is no way to trade for Love -- or, for that matter, Thompson -- without changing both the future of the team and its current culture and style of play.

That's a fancy way of saying: beware of trading Smart and/or Hayward to fill a need. You might end up worse off.

In retrospect we can all agree Hayward should have been traded.

It's not too late for Smart to become a useful trade asset to this team however.   I'd trade him for K-Love in a heartbeat.
