I personally don't know what people see in McCarthy that he's now rumored as a Top-10 pick.

Saw some speculation that Vikings trade up to #7 with Tenn with their eyes on McCarthy.

I think they’d have to get to #5.  I don’t think the 4th QB slides past the Giants at #6.

Really?  McCarthy’s stock has moved up that high? Or others?

Where are Nix and Penix expected to go now?

Yes, McCarthy has moved that high.  The new trend in mock drafts is to have him in the top 3 of quarterbacks, which is why I said “the 4th QB”.  Although I think he won’t break into the top 3 above Daniels or Maye.

Vikings would be better off trading for Fields and using the 2 picks to add offensive help.  And if they trade Jefferson they'd probably have 2 more 1st in the arsenal.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Pittsburgh trading Pickett to Philly & Rudolph went to Tennessee..they must be relying on Wilson to succeed there..they are in a shock & who gotta be backup QB? Justin Fields
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

I'd guess they are gonna draft a guy, but Fields would be interesting and woth Wilson on a vet minimum they can afford an expensive backup

Definitely interesting. Keep Osbourn, Hockenson, and Addison. They already got a rb playmaker in Jones. Draft more defensive help an another OL. Be a really good football team. If Fields is good, resign him and move forward. If he's not, go a different direction.

Justin Fields to Pittsburgh.

For not much at all. Only a 2025 6th which can become a 4th depending on playing time. Wow

Because Fields isn’t good. That’s why Pitt was able to get him for a 6th round pick. He’s an insurance policy for Russ.

I wonder about this too. Is Fields better than Brissett?  Wouldn’t he have more ceiling? I am amazed at how little Chicago got for him. And I am very surprised that the Steelers would bring him in. They can say whatever they want, but it is weird to have both Fields and Wilson.

Funny enough, looks like Mac Jones got traded for more than Fields did. Yes it could become a 2025 4th rounder depending on playing time but that's not a guarantee. So much for that 2nd/3rd round asking price.

Looks like the media -- and Chicago -- was way off on that valuation.  I would have held on to him rather than deal him for a future 6th.  The cap savings is only $3 million, and the Bears have plenty of space.

So since Cousins and Fields have been dealt, and we're stuck with Brissett it sounds like we'll be drafting a QB more than trading down or drafting MHJ/wide receivers.
